Most Halloween round-ups are written from London and stop somewhere around Birmingham. This one covers all twelve UK regions, because a brilliant night out in Sussex is no use whatsoever if you live in Aberdeen.

London
Thin on scream parks — there is nowhere to put one — but strong on atmosphere. The London Dungeon runs extended Halloween programming and late adult sessions through October, and ghost walks operate across the City, Southwark and Whitechapel most evenings. For serious mazes, Surrey and Sussex are both under an hour out.
South East
The densest region in the country. Tulleys Shocktober Fest at Crawley and Thorpe Park Fright Nights at Chertsey are the two biggest scare events in the UK, both running to 1 November. For families, Chessington Howl'o'ween and LEGOLAND Windsor's Brick or Treat cover the younger end without the trauma.
South West
FEAR at Avon Valley near Bristol is the serious one — twelve nights only from 9 October, 16+. Further west it turns family: Crealy Spook-Fest near Exeter (18–31 October) and The Big Sheep at Bideford. Cornwall keeps its own older tradition, Allantide.
East of England
Scaresville at Kentwell Hall in Suffolk is the standout, and genuinely unlike anything else — a whole Tudor estate as a haunted village, 15 October to 1 November.
East Midlands
Xtreme Scream Park at Twinlakes, Melton Mowbray. Seven mazes, exceptional street theatre, and a reputation built on detail rather than volume.
West Midlands
Alton Towers Scarefest opens 26 September — the longest season in the UK — with rides running in the dark. Drayton Manor's Blazing Halloween near Tamworth is the family alternative, closing with fireworks on 31 October and 1 November.
Yorkshire
York Maze Hallowscream — five haunted attractions, over a hundred actors, and a strict 16+ door policy with no exceptions. Yorkshire Scare Grounds at Wakefield is the 12+ alternative, and The York Dungeon runs 11 October to 2 November. Yorkshire also invented half the names for Mischief Night.
North West
Farmaggedon at Ormskirk is a world top-25 haunt, running from 27 September. Journey to Hell at Blackpool Pleasure Beach is rebuilt for 2026 as a full day-and-night event, 17–31 October.
North East
Psycho Path at Burnopfield fields eleven attractions — the biggest count in the country. Beamish goes dark for three nights only, 27, 29 and 31 October.
Scotland
Terror Scream Park at Conifox near Edinburgh runs six nights for the first time (16–17, 23–24, 30–31 October) with four mazes, fireworks and a fire performer. Scotland's SCREAM Park at M&D's, Motherwell, brings the Freakshow trilogy to a close. Scotland also never stopped guising, which is why the Halloween here feels older.
Wales
Scream Time at Margam Park, Port Talbot — a 1km trail through the grounds of Margam Castle, 15 October to 1 November. Two versions: Scream Time for 15+, and the gentler Spooky Time trail for ages 7+.
Northern Ireland
Halloween's birthplace, and it shows. Farmaphobia near Antrim is the largest scream park on the island. The Jungle NI at Moneymore runs a haunted woodland trail, and Crumlin Road Gaol in Belfast uses a real Victorian prison.
