The Fear Scale
Five levels. No guesswork.
Every event we list is rated from Flicker to Nightmare, so you know what you are walking into before you buy the ticket.
- 1 Flicker Any age Lanterns and atmosphere. Nothing jumps out.
- 2 Shiver Families Costumed characters and gentle theatrics. Fine for young children.
- 3 Chill Roughly 10+ Live actors and real jump scares, but performative rather than hostile.
- 4 Dread Teens and up Proper scare mazes. Sustained tension, actors in your space, strobes and fog.
- 5 Nightmare Adults The big scream parks. Long, loud, relentless and built for grown-ups.
